Terms
Camcorder is a prototype, given away for testing rather than sold. These terms are short because there is little to agree about: no account, no purchase, no subscription โ and your footage stays on your phone unless you publish a film.
Who these terms are with
Camcorder is published by Manolab, LLC, a US company. These terms cover the app, the films it publishes at camcorder.media, and this website; installing or using any of them means you accept them.

What Camcorder is right now
A prototype, handed out through Apple's TestFlight. It is not on the App Store, it is not sold, and there is nothing to buy inside it.
It can change under you. Features can appear, change shape or be taken out; a TestFlight build stops working when Apple expires it, and a newer one may behave differently. Nothing here promises that the app will keep working, keep its current behaviour, or continue to exist.
Your footage is yours
We claim nothing in what you record. Unless you publish a film, we hold no copy of it: it is on your phone, and if the phone is lost or the app is deleted, we cannot get any of it back for you.
If a film matters to you, export it and keep it somewhere else. The app is built so that nothing is deleted except by a person โ but a prototype can still have bugs, and that rule is a design principle, not a backup.
Other people's footage
Pulling clips from a nearby phone means the person holding it agreed to hand them over. A film you export can therefore contain material somebody else shot, and passing that film on is a decision that involves them as much as you.
Filming other people, and publishing what you filmed, is governed by the law where you are. That is your responsibility. The app has no view on it and no way to check.
Publishing a film
On TestFlight builds you can put a film up at a link on camcorder.media. It stays yours. By publishing it you let Manolab store it and show it to anyone who has its link, and on the channels you put it on, until you take it down.
Publish only what you have the right to publish, and only people who agreed to be seen in it. Nothing unlawful, nothing sexual, nothing that harasses or exposes somebody, and never a child shown in a way their parent or guardian has not agreed to.
Anyone can report a film. We may hide or remove any published film, for a report or for any other reason, and we do not have to warn you first.
Publishing is part of the prototype. It can change or stop, and a link can stop working. A published film is never your only copy โ the original stays on your phone.
What we do not promise
The app is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, and it is explicitly experimental. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost footage, lost time, or anything that follows from using it.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited โ including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything we did deliberately.
Apple's part
Distribution runs through TestFlight, so Apple's terms for beta software apply to the download and Apple's privacy policy covers what they collect from it. Apple has no other role: there is no purchase and no subscription.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is heard by the courts of Santa Barbara County, California.
If you use Camcorder as a consumer and the law where you live gives you protections or a court of your own that a contract cannot take away, you keep them.
Changes to these terms
If they change materially, the date at the top changes with them.
